Shocking video shows what appears to be a bus driver spitting on a woman in Brooklyn. The MTA is now investigating that incident.
The cell phone video shows a woman with her kids after a dispute between her and the driver of the MTA bus.
It all happened at the bus stop on Fulton Street at Ashton Place in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn.
It’s not clear what started the argument, or what happened before the video started.
More than 20 seconds after the woman walked away and she was nearly around the corner, the driver exited the bus and chased after her.
“Leave her alone. Leave her alone. Why would you spit in her face?” a man can be heard saying in the video.
Spectators say the driver spat on the woman before retreating back to the B25 bus.
In a statement, an MTA spokesperson called the video disturbing, and said the bus driver depicted in it has been pulled from service while an investigation takes place.
2CNY NEWS pressed the MTA throughout the day for more information: Who the driver is, what happened, and what kind of discipline he could face. But the MTA would not go on camera to face questions.
2CNY NEWS also reached out multiple times to the Transit Workers Union, which represents MTA employees for comment about the bus operator. The union has not responded.
The MTA also has not said when exactly the incident took place.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the MTA or 511.
