Shankarpali is an integral part of Diwali faral. We already have seen 3 different varieties of Shankarpali. Here is khasta or namkin shankarpale. We are making it using wheat flour and not maida. Very easy and simple recipe it is. This can be made in a jiffy. You can try this recipe at home and drop a comment for me. Do not forget to like, share and subscribe.
Ingredients:
• 3 cups Wheat flour
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp Cumin seeds
• 1/2 tsp Ajwain / Carom seeds
• Water
• Oil for frying
Method:
• Take wheat into a dish.
• Add salt, cumin seeds, ajwain and mix well.
• Crush cumin seeds and ajwain between your palms before adding.
• Add oil and mix well. Rub oil well to wheat flour.
• Add a little water at a time and knead stiff dough.
• Take a small portion of dough and knead it a little.
• Roll it into a little thick disc with a rolling pin.
• Cut it into any shape you want.
• Heat up oil on medium heat.
• Drop shankarpali into hot oil and fry well on medium heat from both sides for about 7-8
minutes until it gets nice kharpus color.
• Take shankarpali out of oil, drain excess oil and transfer them into a dish.
• Khare or khasta shankarpale are all ready.
