Special report from DCCA meeting (Honolulu 2/2/2018) where Spectrum (Charter-Time Warner Cable) faces angry community testifiers over Spectrum's plan to bump ‘Ōlelo channel numbers down the tv dial.
The channel numbers are planned to be replace by absentee networks such as BBC, Bloomberg, HLN, Fox News, Fox Business and The Weather Channel that already have multible channel locations.
‘Ōlelo services Oahu and is part of the US national Public Access communication program. Its associated groups are on Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island. The channels provide PEG programming: Public Education and Government.
Current channels: 49, 50, 52,53,54,55.
