In this Facetime interview, I talk to hip hop artist, 20 year old, TyFontaine. Ty is signed to 10k projects and producer Taz Taylor’s, Internet Money label. Internet Money is known for being a house full of producers such as Nick Mira, behind rap hits like “Lucid Dreams” by Juice WRLD, “Ransom” by Lil Tecca + more. We spoke to Ty about his childhood, growing up and going to school in New York as a business student, while submitting his music in live streams. He talks about how spending $6 to get his song played on Sidepce’s stream ultimately lead Taz Taylor to DM’ing him and sending him beats, which lead to Ty getting signed to Internet Money. He speaks on how it was like growing his fanbase from 0 to 1000, and things young artists should be doing themselves. Fun fact, we actually found out about TyFontaine through someone submitting his song on our Instagram live listening sessions. Watch the full interview to hear us talk about it! Kids Take Over is based in Vancouver Canada.
Also, be sure to check out Ty’s best songs from his 1800 project (in my opinion)
-Duffle Bag
-Fetish
-Straight Like That
-Slatt ft Lil Spirit (not on the album, but very fire)
-Virtual World
