A historical timepiece marking an era that Rolex provided a rare generation of short lived vintage pieces. The Tudor Chronograph Reference number 79160, also known the Tudor Big Block, and I will explain why later on in this video. This one features in a panda dial and unique combination of rolex and tudor parts combined to provide for a quality piece exceeding your typical tudor standards and is actually a brother, rather than homage or copy of the legendary Rolex 6263 model offered from the 1970s to the 1980s. For those with a keener eye, you will actually notice that its clearly branded rolex on the crown and on the case back are authentic and originally installed, and making oddly enough 2 out of the possible 4 branding locations Rolex and the other 2 being Tudor on the dial and one the bracelet.
This watch encases a reputable Valjoux 7750 ETA automatic chronograph movement with a 48 hour power reserve,
At 40mm case size,
And 20mm strap width,
While the lug to lug width is at 47.9mm
Housed in a 14.3 thick case,
in an acrylic cover
Constructed in 316L steel, which is essentially the industry standard stainless steel at the time.
