Eid al-Adha Also known as the Festival of Sacrifice WAS CELEBRATED YESTERDAY BY Muslims ACROSS THE WORLD.
It falls on the 10th day of Dhul Hijjah, the 12th and last month of the Muslim lunar calendar.
Eid al-Adha is the second major Muslim festival after Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting.
As the coronavirus pandemic rages, many Muslim-majority countries announced restrictions on public gatherings. The Nigerian government also put out a set of safety protocols, after which president Buhari told those celebrating not to see COVID-19 guidelines as an infringement on your rights.
