ABOUT…
My work is an exploration of the body, combining my passion for art and science through the medium of collage. I'm especially interested in those internal spaces that generally we never see. It is those observed realities which I transform by combining my imagination and colour into abstract works of art.
Using the process of abstraction is of significant importance within my practice. It distances the viewer from "reality", the gore experienced by the untrained at sights of the anatomy room. Furthermore abstraction eliminates societal labels and imposed or perceived boundaries. Giving the viewer the opportunity to manufacture their own uninfluenced meaning.
