Hydra island is a quaint Greek island located about an hour and a half ferry ride, which makes it a great option for a day trip from Athens. Hydra does not allow cars or motorbikes so you can only get around by walking, donkey or boat. The island is small so this is not an issue and water taxis are available.
There is only one sandy beach in Hydra, Mandaraki Bay. You can swim off the rocks as well and there are places all over the island to do this from.
At the end of the video I talk about the things I needed to get on the ferry. I now know why I didn't need a test to go back to Athens from Hydra and that is because it is the same regional unit as Athens!
Here is the best explanation I can find on ferries/flights to and from the Greek islands. [ Ссылка ]
