We are a couple of city slickers who decided we had enough of the city life and wanted to live a more sustainable life in the country

With zero farming skills and little carpentry skills we set out 4 years ago to go back in time to the late 1800's style living

We built a 600 sq ft log home with saddle notched white oak got a wood cook stove, some oil lamps and the rest is history.

We have no solar power or wind power and have only 1 gas implement that we use to cut the grass (until we can find a gang mower for the horse to pull). We use the Android phone for our communication needs

This channel is dedicated to help teach you the ins and outs of living off grid on a homestead and raising sheep, chickens, horses, Bees, and growing your own food

We plow the land with a team of horses and use a horse and buggy to travel. We have 1 truck for further trips away from the homestead and we hope you enjoy and learn something every visit.
