Maryland is opening more COVID-19 testing sites, requiring regular testing at nursing homes and will distribute medical-grade face masks to the public, Gov. Larry Hogan announced Thursday. Hogan spoke Thursday afternoon outside the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center in Easton, where a new hospital-based testing site is under construction. By the end of next week, the state will have nearly doubled the number of hospital-based, surge testing sites by opening six more sites.
