In this video, we look at the effect of pH on enzymes. First we explore what is meant by pH in terms of the concentration of hydrogen ions. We then look at how the rate of an enzyme catalysed reaction depends on the pH and link this to the bonds present in enzymes. Finally, we look at how to calculate the pH of a solution from the concentration of hydrogen ions.

This video is aimed at the UK A Level Biology specifications. Students studying International A Level Biology will need to check their specification.
