Next up in our 'Valuation Finds and Favourites' series, Brandon Lindberg, Joint Head of Picture Department looks at an early 19th century Irish School painting depicting William Winter and his family. Here he discusses how it came to be discovered in the bottom of a chest of drawers, by one of the most notable folk art dealers, Robert Young. This work came to Dreweatts as part of the Pinkers Collection, a large private collection of American, British and European folk art, and will be sold in our upcoming Old Master, British and European Art auction on 24 November 2020.
