In this video I demonstrate how to build build a reclaimed scaffold board table and prevent cupping over time. I use several techniques some are alternating the grain pattern, routing supports struts from plywood, drying out the timber to below 12% and being as selective as possible with the timber.
There are a couple of other things I did but forgot to mention, I kept the table in the house flat on the floor for three days to acclimatise to the environment, I also turned down the radiator next to the table and will leave this off for about 6 weeks.
