MyVitalog is a nutrition/calorie tracking website that allows users to search and log food they've eaten, and get recommendations on how many more nutrients/calories they need to reach the daily recommended values. The VitaFacts page includes information on all essential vitamins and minerals, including what foods to eat and how those vitamins and minerals contribute to overall health.
The app is built by William Blacknall, a grad of our Atlanta campus. Check out his work and reach out about open roles at [ Ссылка ]
The app uses the USDA food search API. It runs almost entirely through NodeJS, utilizing Express servers (and template engine), and is currently hosted through an Amazon EC2 instance that houses a PostgreSQL database for logging users in/out, and keeping track of their meals for that day. BulmaCSS was used for the styling, and password encryption was done using the Bcrypt npm module.
