Francesco Gasparini was famous in his lifetime for his operas and in our time he is known to the connoisseurs for his 'Armonico pratico al cimbalo'. Gasparini did part of his musical studies with Corelli and Pasquini in Rome, city where he seemed to have been the teacher of Domenico Scarlatti for some time.
Here is a composition originally for organ, which has its own beauty in its simplicity.
