Former Met Police officer Heidi Loughlin has spoken about refusing treatment for her incurable cancer to protect her unborn baby.
The mum from Portishead has written a book for her children about her journey with the illness after being diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer.
The mum made the decision to delay treatment for herself to give her unborn daughter the best chance of survival. But, tragically, when Ally was born 12 weeks early in December 2015, she contracted an infection, and died just days later.
