Artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms have a broad influence over health care decisions at every level. While insurers, hospitals, and physician groups use AI to assist with decisions about patient care, resource staffing, and diagnosing conditions, it has great potential to perpetuate health disparities and contribute to inequitable care.
