Gedeon is a kilij sabre-wielding fencer of the Polish cross-cutting art school who hails from the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
Although he is easy to play with, he does get fatigued very quickly and its sometimes difficult for him to move out of the way or retreat quick enough from on coming attacks. He uses a lot of slashing attacks, but needs to be combined with some side movements and evasive movements.
Backstory
Years ago Samuel Zborovski, a saber for hire, agreed to get rid of the entire Bogusz clan, so that their neighbors the Balaban clan could take their land. The patriarch of the family, Gedeon, was almost killed by Samuel, and his whole family was forced to leave the land and live a life of poverty. Gedeon eventually recovered and swore to kill Samuel.
Advantages
Gedeon has 5% extra health on his chest and stomach, allowing him to take more abuse at those specific areas
While fatigue affects his movement speed and disables some of his attacks (mainly long guard attacks) it doesn't stop combos and doesn't make his attacks slower (a patch may change this in the future)
Wide variety of attacks that depend on his stance and movement direction or the lack thereof. This includes both forward and back and side movements
Decent sidestepping game
Recovery of numerous attacks can be cancelled by pressing the back button - this allows him to morph his attacks into different ones and catch an enemy by surprise
His attacks will, for the most part, combine very well
His huge move set can hypothetically serve to find a perfect counter to every situation
Disadvantages
Has a huge hitbox, making him a very easy target to hit
Low mobility and difficulty with catching up with a retreating opponent
Very unreliable auto-block - this includes Gedeon's tendency to move his hand into a position that can change opponent's attack that would normally wound into a killing blow
Many of his attacks don't have the auto-block set property (or have it set to very low). This and above make him very vulnerable both during his attacks and when trying to auto-block and makes Gedeon very vulnerable to some attacks that he can't parry no matter what
Gets fatigued fast when performing combos
Has a short range, making it easy for him to be zoned out
Unreliable in close-quarters combat despite being a close-ranged character
