Sam Gwer is the Executive Director of Afya Research Africa, which operates a network of clinics in Kenya that aim to improve primary care in underserved, rural areas. Afya Research Africa is using its Global Health Innovation Grant from the Pfizer Foundation to build four additional clinics, increasing access to clinical services and essential products while giving underserved communities a chance to reinvest earnings in their health.
