Building a polyamorous relationship can be quite challenging, and it can take some serious relationship skills--and it can also be incredibly rewarding when it works.
I’ve learned a lot from watching the way polyamorous partners craft unique relationship agreements to suit their unique selves. Most importantly, I’ve found that the skills required to make polyamory work apply beautifully to any relationship.
The same goes for your work as a therapist. Do you work with clients who have impasses? Who need help managing difficult emotions, like jealousy or anxiety? Who aspire to be more honest in difficult conversations? Do you ever help partners explore what fidelity means to them? Everyone needs strong relational skills for these tough situations and challenges, and my book goes into them all.
In this week’s vlog, I’m talking about what we can all learn from polyamorous relationships. You can check it out here, or click here for the link to the transcript.
And if you want to pick up some serious relationship (or relational therapy) skills, my book is designed to serve as your toolkit for difficult relational challenges, including consensual non-monogamies.
