► Ingredients:
For the easy-to-peel hard-boiled eggs:
6 eggs (for 12 deviled eggs; easily scaled)
Water + ice for the ice bath
► For the classic deviled eggs:
6 hard-boiled eggs
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon sea salt and black pepper to taste
Paprika for garnish
► Additional ingredients for the fancy deviled egg recipes:
Parmesan Crisp + Everything Bagel Seasoning
Green Olive with Pimento + Black Pepper
Fresh Chives + Fresh Dill
Pickled Jalapeno + Pickled Red Onion
Smoked Salmon + Capers
► How to make deviled eggs:
Cut the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise.
Remove the yolks and place them in a bowl.
Mash the yolks with a fork until they are smooth.
Add the mayonnaise, mustard, and (optional hot sauce or lemon juice) to the yolks.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Spoon the yolk mixture back into the egg whites or use a bag to pipe it in.
Garnish with paprika or your favorite toppings.
