When you’re taking multiple medications, it can be difficult to keep up with them all. Thankfully, there are many ways to help stay on track with your medications. First, try to link taking your medications with something you do regularly like brushing your teeth or eating a meal. You could also place reminder notes where you will easily notice them like on the refrigerator or by the phone. Another method is to keep a chart or calendar to write down when you take your medications.
They also make special pillboxes that help you keep your pills organized by each day of the week and/or time. Some people like to set an alarm on their mobile device to remind them of when to take their pill.
It is also important to keep up with refills so you don’t run out of medication. When refilling your prescription, sign up for an automated system that refills your prescription on a set schedule or make a note on your calendar to order and pick up the next refill at least a few days before your medication will run out.
