Underpainting vs no underpainting? That is the question. In this full tutorial, it is my hope to demonstrate the benefits of underpainting. In the first half of this lesson, I will demonstrate an underpainting of pear and in the second half of this tutorial, I will demonstrate the colour layers as well as do a comparison with a pear that hasn't had an underpainting so you can see for yourself which one you like the best.
