Major General Viet Luong emigrated from Vietnam with his family to the United States in 1975 as a political refugee.
Today, he is the commanding general of U.S. Army Japan.
In recognition of #AAPI Heritage Month, we celebrate the Army’s diversity as one of its greatest strengths as we learn more about Maj. Gen. Luong's incredible journey.
