April showers may bring May flowers but April also ushers in a special week that provides an opportunity to shine a light on the incredible work done by volunteers across the country as Canada celebrates National Volunteer Week from April 14th – 20th.
The Kidney Foundation of Canada is fortunate to have volunteers who go above and beyond to lift our communities and raise kidney health awareness. The ongoing support, ideas, enthusiasm and advocacy, from volunteers assists the Kidney Foundation in achieving it’s goals.
National Volunteer Week provides an important opportunity to pause and reflect on the remarkable contributions of the Kidney Foundation volunteer community. In this episode, you’ll not only meet some of the BC & Yukon Branch volunteers but you’ll see the countless ways Kidney Foundation volunteers from across the country help to make the work done by The Kidney Foundation, possible.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the organization and as you’ll see….they do it all!
And NOTDAW – National Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Week takes place from April 21st – 27th and in our Did You Know? segment, we share with you important facts and information about NOTDAW, the focus of which is to raise awareness about the critical need for more donors across the country.
