What according to you is the right term of an Indian living abroad?
NRI - Non-Resident Indian OR
NRI - Not-Required Indian?
WHY DO I ASK THIS?
When the money is good - the majority of NRI live overseas enjoying the perks & benefits of living abroad while doing nothing for India. But when times are bad or when they are kicked out, they come back to India and enjoy the benefits of living in India. And everyone knows the majority of NRI's do not wish and do not pay taxes to the Indian government.
So what do you think is the right terminology for an NRI?
In defense of an NRI (Non-Resident Indian), they do bring in Foreign Exchange to India.
But the fact is - are they doing it for the country for their own benefit?
And then again... the bigger question - which Indian is 100% honest who pays ALL his taxes and discloses ALL his earnings to the Indian Government? In a day and age where the majority of Rich Indians have overseas investments and undisclosed bank accounts abroad - does this self-righteous argument apply?
