Vladimir Putin sought to distance himself from the migrant crisis orchestrated by the Belarusian regime at the Poland-Belarus border.
“I want everyone to know: we have absolutely nothing to do with this,” he said, adding that the cause of the migrant crisis lies with Western policy in the Middle East.
Asked by a TV reporter about Belarus’ dictator Alexander Lukashenko’s recent threat to cut off the supply of Russian gas to Europe, Russian President Putin, whose country owns the gas pipeline running through Belarus into Europe, said he was not aware of any such plans.
