If you’re travelling to Europe and don’t want to be spending too much on roaming charges, this one is for you.

I have been travelling around Europe for the past two years and have been using local mobile providers in different countries to fulfil my connectivity needs.

However this is not always the easiest or cheapest option. It requires doing research to find the cheapest provider, looking for a shop around where you staying and sometimes also dealing with the registration process in a foreign language.

If your device supports eSim technology, you can skip all that and have a working mobile plan on your device the moment you land at your destination. No need to deal with anyone, no need for plastic SIM cards, all is done through an app on your phone.

Esim stands for embedded-SIM, with this technology your phone is able to store up to 10 eSims depending on your model and storage availability.

The most popular travel eSim provider is called Airalo, they cover almost the entire world and are offering easy installation and better prices compared to simply roaming on your home provider.

But when it comes to roaming in the EU, they are actually not the best deal out there.

There is a provider in Poland that lets you to obtain a polish eSIM through their app with ridiculously cheap plans. This plan will work anywhere in the EU and will cost more than half price compared to Airalo.

Their plans come without any strings attached and are valid for 30 days, you can renew them if you’re staying longer in Europe or you can just cancel it whenever you leave and not be charged again.

The provider is called Orange Flex and all you need to do is get their app from the App store / Google Play and follow the instructions in the app to register. You will need your passport to prove your identity and a credit card to pay.

If that doesn’t sound good enough, they now have a promo where you get the first month for 1 PLN with any of their plans. So you can get about 13GB worth of roaming DATA practically for free.
