Golra Sharif railway Station is almost 140 years old and its surrounded by banyan trees near Islamabad city,its small junction Station but very active and important Railway Station of Pakistan,
in 19th century when British laid the railroad in subcontinent, after that few railroad companies started their services for passenger's and this Station was the last Station towards north till many years,
after that British made their mind to conquer Afghan territory then initially the railroad was laid from Golra sharif Railway Station to Landi kotal Railway Station via Noshehra & Peshawar, this line was initially used by British forces for their logistics.
nowadays it's very famous Station and also part of Pakistan Railways Museum Islamabad
its Victorian style building is very famous which was made of sandstones by British in 1881 and it's also very popular among local and foreigners.
I also witness there 100 Year's old hand pump which was made in England and was used for drinking water at plate form for passengers, there were also other made in England items items was there during the British raj in subcontinent as like wooden furniture, wall clock, electric switch, British Guns and different British Railway artifacts,
