We just finished applying a self levelling cement on a new job by Sika Canada Inc. Important step for anyone installing a new floor! Roll a ball on your concrete floor to see if it's even (or use a level). If it's not, you need to level your floor (using a primer and self leveller) to avoid issues down the road.

The green stuff you see in the video is a primer. We first apply a primer after cleaning the substrates to create a base and ensure good bonding of upper floor layers. It also protects the substrate against moisture from leveling compounds or adhesives above.

We like this manufacturer's product (Sika) because it's easy to install and zero VOCs. You can install your floor covering within 3 days. But follow the instructions closely, don't just rely on videos.
