Daughters of Sai -The Sai Govind Satsangh Series featuring Sisters Asha Malhotra, K. Sai Aruna, Soujanya Pudi & Sai Sudha Sriram in Conversation with Sister Anupama - 4 July 2021
Sis Asha Malhotra:
Sis Asha belongs to the first batch of the Sri Sathya Sai Insitute of Higher Learning. She joined the Anantapur campus for her Class 11 in 1981, after Bhagawan asked her to join His ‘new girls’ college’ during an interview he gave to the family.She went on to do her class 12, and her Bachelors in Commerce thereafter. She passed out in 1985 from the insitute.
She currently lives with her family in Delhi, where she has started an NGO named ‘Maitreey Mission’. The NGO has adopted 40 girls from under-privileged families and has provided them with free education and hostel stay. The hostel is run on the lines of Swami’s values. She is also a Bal Vikas guru.
Sis K. Sai Aruna:
Sister Sai Aruna did her Class 11 and 12, her BA and MA courses, as well as her BEd course from the Anantapur campus. She has been serving in the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Andhra Pradesh, under various roles. A former bal vikas student, Sis Sai Aruna has offered her services as the district youth coordinator, State Youth coordinator, and State joint Coordinator for the Education wing, in the past.
She now serves as the Mahila Spiritual coordinator for the state of Andhra Pradesh.
A teacher by profession, Sis Aruna is also a PYF resource person for Andhra Pradesh. She has also been a valuable contributor to the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini programme since its inception days.
Sis Soujanya Pudi
Sister Soujanya did her MA (English) from Bhagawan’s Anantapur campus in 1996.
With over 21 years of experience in the teaching and training sector, she now serves as the Head of Department for Language and Communication at the NSHM Knowledge Campus, Kolkata, a leading educational institute in India that specialises in professional degree courses.
She also serves as the State Coordinator for the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini programme, West Bengal. All through the challenging times last year, Sis Soujanya had volunteered for the West Bengal Covid Helpline.
Sis Sai Sudha Sriram:
Sister Sai Sudha comes from Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh. She did her entire schooling, from class 1 to class 12, at the Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School.
Later, she did her undergraduate and postgraduate courses from the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Anatapur campus. She received the gold medal for both the courses.
As a student, she was blessed to perform classical dance in Swami’s presence on several occasions. She was also a part of the vedam group and has chanted in Bhagawan's presence many times. Sister Sai Sudha did her one-year fellowship with the Sri Satya Sai Vidya Vahini in 2014 - 2015. She then went on to work at the Sathya Sai Vidya Niketan, Guntur, as the Vice-Principal and teacher for four years.
She now works in the field of digital marketing.
