Transform your stale bread into a delicious savory pie with this easy recipe! Give your leftover bread a second life in the most delightful way possible. 🍞🧀😋

You'll need

1 1/2 loaves stale bread
1 1/2 cups milk (300 ml)
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
2 eggs
1 cup feta cheese
1/2 bunch parsley
1 cup mozzarella cheese

1 cup = 200 ml

Here's how

Dice the stale bread into cubes.
In a mixing bowl, combine eggs, salt, baking powder, vegetable oil, and milk. Mix thoroughly using a whisk until all ingredients are well combined.
Add crumbled feta cheese and finely chopped parsley to the prepared mixture, and mix one last time.
Lightly grease the baking dish with vegetable oil.
Place approximately half of the diced bread cubes into the prepared mixture, coat them well, and then spread them evenly into the baking dish.
Sprinkle generously with grated mozzarella cheese over the bread.
Layer the remaining bread cubes that have been coated with the mixture on top of the cheese layer. Arrange them evenly to ensure uniformity.
Once again, cover the bread evenly with grated mozzarella cheese, and it's ready for baking.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and bake for approximately 30 minutes.
Bake until the cheese on top melts and turns golden brown, keeping an eye on it to avoid burning.
Remove the stale bread pastry from the oven. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
