TJ Travis, Pioneer of Psychedelic Media, takes you on a trip to his personal experiences with LSD over the course of three months when depictions in our culture leads him to groundbreaking modern brain scans of people under the influence of LSD.
These brain scans gave researchers brand new insight into the neurological processes that occur in the brain that result in the effects of LSD. The results revealed that people were able to draw more information from many different parts of their brain from typically segregated parts, now connected and speaking to each other neurologically. Inspired by Steve Jobs’ LSD experience and his later talks about our ability to shape and influence our realities, Travis covers how LSD impacts our creative endeavors, how it helps our connection with others, how it opens us up to previously unknown parts of ourselves resulting in personal healing, reconciliation with spirituality, and finally how LSD assists us in realizing our higher potential.
Travis' historical film explores theories such as simulation theory and quantum brain entanglement (telepathy). The themes of this piece include: love and oneness--concluding with a visualization of what overcoming “challenging experiences” is like, integrating the experiences positively, a message about an awakening in his consciousness to oneness, being more empathetic, and seeing the potential benefits in psychotherapy first hand. Since then LSD continues to show Travis how it can be a tool in the investigation of the mysterious nature of human consciousness, and its place in the future of human evolution.
ABOUT THE CREATOR OF THIS FILM: I create immersive films and intimate music that explicitly express the nature of the human psychedelic experience in mediums everyone can enjoy, absorb, integrate, and digest the world over. I like to use the visual and auditory mediums of filmmaking and musical engineering to legitimize the practical application of psychedelic substances because storytelling has been the most effective way we have expressed and conceptualized extremely complicated ideas throughout the existence of our species. I believe what psychedelics need to be legitimized and gain the attention for it to be widely accepted is for it to be executed through a cultural movement. I believe the continued legitimizing of practical applications of psychedelic tools will be extremely important and tremendously helpful in assisting the future of humanity for: the birth and expansion of new and novel ideas, comprehending the extreme complexities of the self, expanding our cognitive capacities, understanding how we influence reality at the quantum level producing for ourselves as creators, healing personal trauma in our current mental health crisis, spiritual awakenings, cultivating visions, rooting ourselves in truth, understanding the dissolving and reconstitution of the self as we learn, experience, and grow in the increasingly rapid change happening in the frames of time as we approach singularity... creativity: in arts, filmmaking, music, graphic design, animation, mathematics, other forms of engineering, and so much more, and finally, coming closer to understanding the ultimate nature of our reality.
75 years ago, Dr. Albert Hofmann became the first person to intentionally experience the psychedelic effects of LSD.
Since then many discoveries have been made about LSD’s fascinating impacts on consciousness. To celebrate the 75th anniversary of Dr. Hofmann's discovery, the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) asked the many people that have learned about LSD through science, education, culture, or personal experiences--to record a tribute video and telling the world why LSD is important to them. These videos will be publicly viewable. Please go check out their website if you are interested: [ Ссылка ]
