FAQ about Natural Sciences at the University of Leicester – What careers are available after you’ve done a Natural Sciences degree?
“So myself I’ve gone on to do a PhD here at the University, I know that quite a few other people now have gone on to do postgraduate study in all different fields. I do mine in Biology, so that’s where I ended up, but we’ve had other students that have gone off to do Astrophysics and all sorts of things.
We’ve also had quite a few students going into teaching afterwards, it seems to be quite a good degree for teaching afterwards because obviously you learn a lot of different things and different teaching styles you’re exposed to and stuff like that.
We’ve also had quite a few people going into industry in particular for some reason DSTL, they seem to like the way we approach problems.”
