This is a sample of just one of the many ways to stop crime that are already out there, waiting for us to put them to use in the right way for a crime-free and safe future!
There is also a better strategy put in place for the criminally insane not to mention the great majority incarcerated for minor non-serious offenses. Our strategy in Criminal Justice is a reform like no other. We allow small time offenders to be released on a case by case basis depending on the severity of their crimes. A first time offender is given a new lease on life by granting his a** a smaller prison time in exchange for a fee and an agreement. The provisional program we want to implement is as follows: A first time offender is in court for a crime he did in fact commit as opposed to being there for crimes he didn't as is the case most of the times in contemporary America. He is given a notice bearing a few terms and conditions of his release from the federal prison system by the presiding judge in the presence of the jury and his cohorts in court. He is basically handed down a reduced prison term should he abstain from crime upon his release into the outside world from the penitentiary. He is to sign a document which guarantees good behavior and abstinence from crime going back into the real world. He will be given a reduced sentence, say for example someone taken to court for a domestic violence charge is to get a mandatory three year prison sentence, but this is reduced to just 3 months in jail with a promise of prolonged absence from criminal activity after serving the (mandatory) bare-minimum sentence.
