Public health officials announced new actions Thursday to combat the monkeypox outbreak and meet rising demand for vaccines. In a virtual news briefing, CDC director Rochelle Walensky, Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra and other officials said the government would be accelerating its vaccine distribution strategy, including making an additional 1.8 million doses available for ordering next week.
