SUPER RARE BUNKER ON UTAH BEACH
This is one of the rarest structures on the whole of the Atlantikwall and the only one of its kind on Utah Beach.
This shelter was constructed for a 150cm searchlight which could scan the sea and sky off this strongpoint known as Stp09 at St Martin de Varreville Clos Duval.
This was an extensive position which also featured two R677 casemates for 88mm guns, a huge R633 mortar bunker, plus Tobruks, personnel shelters, an anti-tank wall and ditches. The position was surrounded by mines too!
