CIX (Complete In X) is is a five member South Korean boy group formed by C9 Entertainment in 2019, consisting of Lee Byounggon, Kim Seunghun, Kim Yonghee, Bae Jinyoung and Yoon Hyunsuk. The group debuted on July 23, 2019, with their first EP titled HELLO Chapter 1: Hello, Stranger. Bae Jinyoung participated in the Mnet survival series Produce 101 Season 2 in 2017 representing C9 Entertainment. Bae placed 10th in the finale and became a member of the temporary boy group Wanna One.
Lee Byoung-gon and Kim Seung-hun previously were trainees under YG Entertainment and were part of survival show YG Treasure Box in 2018, which both failed to debut in finale. Byounggon was also part of survival show Mix Nine placing in 9th place in finale being part of winning group, unfortunately the debut for the male winning group was cancelled.. Seunghun appeared on Mnet survival show Stray Kids, as a YG trainee in the JYP vs YG episodes. The group's debut reality show Hello CIX premiered on June 4, 2019 on V Live. The show will be a natural portrayal across 10 episodes of the group’s various charms and their road to debut. On June 26, 2019 was revealed that CIX will make their debut. They will hold their debut showcase on July 24 at Olympic Park SK Handball Arena.
