It's hard to think about going to Cancun and not going to see Chichen Itza. It is an incredible reminder of the great Mayan civilization on the Yucatan Peninsula and it is one of the wonders of the world. But should you take an organized tour? I'm a big fan of doing things independently and cheaply. BUT, most people just opt for the tour. So if you do, here is what the experience is like. As always, Xcaret put together a pretty nice operation for those looking to do a quick trip.
