As a woman in agriculture, Amy Howard faces a common challenge of balancing the role of both mom and full-time farmer. Howard Family Farms is an on-farm produce store nestled in the heart of Harmony, North Carolina. Amy quickly learned the “ins and outs” of farming in 2014 when she came back to the farm to join her husband, Brian Howard, who came back full time in 2008.
