Just a quick video showing how I tensioned my rudder on my @NativeWatercraft kayaks. I replaced the factory screw with a 1/4 stainless steel stud, 2 jam nuts, 1 nylock, 1 washer. This allows a nice tension while preventing the rudder from being able to fall off.
Native slayer 13s or any plastic rudder with a course thread screw wont be able to do this, this requires the upgraded rudder that takes a 1/4 - 20 screw. If you upgrade the slayer 13 to the high performance native rudder, it will allow this modification.
It works with the old Berley pro upgrade, but not with the T lock (which also solves the issue)
