Lesley Logan teaches the exercise 'Kneeling Mermaid with the Push Through Bar' on the Cadillac at Westwood Pilates in Los Angeles, California.

Stand on both knees about a fist distance apart and I like to squeeze my heels together to connect my feet to my body. Place your hand on the bar with your thumb on the other side of the bar for control. Press the bar down slightly 2-3 times to connect your shoulder to your back. Then take your other arm up and use your waist to side bend up and over the bar 2-3x. Turn around and do the other side.
FINE-TUNE THIS EXERCISE: Push through both knees as you push into the bar in both directions.
