How to Deal with Manipulation: Feigning Innocence and Pretending to Not Know. Ever meet those people who pretend that they are sooooo innocent, that they have no idea what you're talking about and would never do whatever it is you're saying? You know it's fake. It's a manipulation tactic to pass blame on well, no one in particular at times. Don't fall for it. Stand your ground, keep your boundaries, allow them to face their own consequences and don't get involved in their emotional upset.
It's not necessary to get them to admit it. You will probably find more frustration if you try. If you know the truth, good. Don't let someone else's version of reality get you upset.
