EPISODE 194: Pro Wrestling Warmups Suck!
Admittedly this title is very much a generalisation as I can't speak for every school but in my opinion Pro Wrestling is often stuck in the past when it comes to the conditioning side of training, from warmups to cardio drills. But what led to me making this episode was seeing it done RIGHT, both in Pro Wrestling and other grappling martial arts.
I think much of it comes down to not actually thinking about the 'why' of it all. You'll often see generic drills programmed as a bit of a 'tick the box' exercise before moving on to the actual content when in reality this is a great opportunity to get the body and mind primed an intense training ahead.
