This is a new brand or arm under the Chery brand. Omoda C5 as it's called has been recently launched in South Africa and is ready to get a piece of the pie from the ever-populated crossover segment. It has arrived when the market is flooded with similar cars and confusing because the price difference between luxury and low cost is quite high in the segment while most offer similar value in return.
The market is so saturated that I think it's good for consumers as now it's the right time to negotiate hard.
This comes with a standard 5-year/70 000km service plan and a 5-year/150 000km warranty but as you know, when it comes to Chery the first owner who keeps it gets the engine warranty extended to 10 years/1 million km.
