In this video we tear down two Parkside Performance PASBSAP 20 hammer drills, both A1 (2021) and B2 (2022) versions, to compare both models and see if any changes or upgrades were made. It seems only basic modifications were made, specifically to the brushless motor (80Nm torque in both) and its driver board. The Röhm Extra 50 chuck is equipped on both models. The gear train (planetary) has not seen any changes, and the possibly weak spindle lock design is again unchanged, depending on 6 hardened studs to lock the spindle. Still, the new version looks robust but it is fair to say both versions are equivalent as far as capability and longevity go. This is to be seen more as a second production run, and not an updated model.
