HUGH JACKMAN, SUTTON FOSTER, JESSE WILLIAMS POSE ON TONY AWARDS RED CARPET
"The Music Man" co-stars Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster walked the red carpet together at Sunday's (12 JUNE 2022) Tony Awards.
Other stars who posed for photos included "Take Me Out" star Jesse Williams and legendary stage performers Chita Rivera and Patti LuPone, along with Lin-Manuel Miranda.
There were 34 new productions on Broadway this season, as fans returned to theaters after nearly two years of a pandemic-related shutdown. In contrast, in 2021, winners were pulled from only 18 eligible plays and musicals and many of the competitive categories were depleted.
The 75th annual Tony Awards started with a celebration of Broadway behind the scenes, as actors Darren Criss and Julianne Hough co-hosted a special first hour to hand out creative arts awards on CBS's streaming channel, Paramount+
Academy Award winner and Tony nominee Ariana DeBose then hosted the three-hour Tony Awards, which aired live coast-to-coast for the first time.
