Meghann Cuniff shed light on the tumultuous events surrounding Tory Lanez. Lanez’s marriage took a nosedive when his wife filed for divorce less than a year after they tied the knot. Interestingly, she was present during Lanez's sentencing, advocating passionately on his behalf. She recounted his challenging childhood and alleged mental health struggles, including alcoholism and PTSD, as arguments for a lighter sentence, suggesting probation would be more appropriate.

Further complicating Lanez’s legal saga is the revelation, as disclosed by Cuniff, that Lanez reportedly turned down a 3-year plea deal, which ultimately led to his 10-year sentence. Conflicting information arises, however, as a DA's office representative stated they were highly doubtful any plea deal had been offered. Cuniff also noted Lanez’s legal representation has transitioned to a nonprofit organization, Unite the People, raising questions about his current legal strategy and financial state.
