What is the number one cyber security threat to your business? Here's a hint. They might be sitting right next to you or in their home office. Hi, I'm Steve Conyers with CMIT Solutions where we provide cyber security and IT services to businesses and nonprofits. So as you probably guess, people are the number one cybersecurity threat to your business, not external hackers, but your employees and your colleagues and guests, probably even you yourself. And that is because the easiest way into a business, cybersecurity wise, is the front door and by knocking on it and having someone open the door without checking who’s on the other side. So how do you as a business provide some level of protection against this threat? Well, there's a buzzword or terminology out there called security awareness training. And basically what that is, is it provides information to your employees on a regular basis about current and ongoing cybersecurity threats and how to prevent them from falling into the trap of opening the door.
And that can consist of videos and blogs and emails and things like that, and concludes with quizzes or a test if you like, so that they can pass and show that they passed the training. But more importantly, it also includes an authorized Phishing attempt to see who in your organization would actually click on that. So that means we send out an email to your employees with a link that they should not click on. And if they do, we know that somebody needs more training and that believe it or not, might also be you yourself. So come to me for more information and pricing and stuff on how you can cost effectively keep your employees trained and thereby reduce the risk for the number one cybersecurity threat facing your business or practice. Again I’m Steve Conyers with CMIT Solutions. All my contact info will be at the end of this video. And here’s hoping you have a safe and secure day.
