M/S of Elizabeth taking the sections to a tray of tins for baking. C/U of the dough in tins. M/S of Iris lighting the oven, as Elizabeth fills the tins with dough. C/U of Iris poking the fiercely burning wood inside the oven - "as the temperature of the oven rises; the bricks darken and eventually go white. The exact temperature required is judged by the colour of the bricks. No thermometer is used". C/U of the flames.

C/U of the loaves in the oven, Iris' hand is seen shutting the heavy iron door. M/S of Elizabeth shovelling ash in front of the oven door to prevent the heat from escaping - "Ye Olde Bakery, as it is called, is the only one of its kind left in the country. There is no shop. Local people call at the bakery for their bread straight from the oven". C/U of the freshly baked loaves been taken out of the oven. M/S of the mother and daughter as they take the baked bread out of the oven. Various shots of the rows of baked bread, Elizabeth adds more loaves.
